Warranty & Returns
Helmets are safety equipment, so our returns policy is different to most products. Here's how warranty, faults and returns work when you buy a Biltwell helmet from Rollies Speed Shop.
Change-of-mind returns
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please choose carefully and use our sizing guide before you order — if you're unsure of your size or which model suits you, get in touch and we'll help you get it right before you buy.
Why we can't accept returns on helmets
A helmet is single-impact safety equipment. Once a helmet has been worn, or has left our control, we have no way of knowing whether it has been dropped, knocked or stressed. A helmet can suffer structural damage to its EPS liner or shell without leaving any visible marks, which compromises its ability to protect you in a crash. For that reason — and for hygiene — we are unable to accept the return of, or resell, a used or opened helmet.
Been in a crash or dropped your helmet?
Replace it. Even with no visible damage, a helmet that has taken an impact should not be ridden again. This is not a warranty or return situation — it's a safety one.
Manufacturer's warranty (faults & defects)
Biltwell helmets are warranted against genuine defects in materials and workmanship. If you believe your helmet is faulty, contact us and we'll assess it on a case-by-case basis with Biltwell. Warranty covers manufacturing defects — it does not cover crash damage, drops, wear and tear, misuse, modification, or normal deterioration of comfort liners, cheek pads, shields and fittings.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a helmet has a major failure you're entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is minor, we (or the manufacturer) may choose to repair or replace it. These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer's warranty.
How to lodge a warranty claim
Contact us with the following and we'll start an assessment:
- Your name and order number / proof of purchase
- The helmet model, size and colourway
- A description of the fault and clear photos showing the issue
We'll review it with Biltwell and let you know the outcome. Please don't send anything back until we've confirmed the next steps.
